Kids and dryers are like peanut butter and jelly.

I'm doing dishes when I hear Max screaming. So I abandoned the dishes like most mom's do when their child needs them. I followed the sounds of his cries to the laundry room where I found him in the dryer with the door shut. Taelynn happened to be close by so I put 2 and 2 together and put her in timeout for forcing Max in the dryer. Taelynn is crying and saying something unrecognizable about Max. But if you know Tae it's not uncommon for her to say things you don't understand. So I go back to my dishes while she finishes timeout. It's not long when I hear Max screaming again. "Taelynn left timeout and put him in the dryer again. She's going to get it." I think to myself. Only Tae is still in timeout. What the...? And Max is in the dryer again with the door shut. Time to do some problem solving. I open the dryer door and Max crawls out BY HIMSELF! And then crawls back in again BY HIMSELF and shuts the door on himself and starts to cry!!!! Oops. Man do I feel stupid. I go get Tae out of timeout and ask her if she was trying to help Max get out. "uh huh, help" she wimpers. Great I just put my 3 yr old in timeout for helping her brother. I feel like an awesome parent! And so it begins.....this probably won't be the last time I make a mistake when it comes to disciplining my children. Bring on the teenage years! Seriously though what is it about my kids and the dryer?

Max crawling in on his own.
Now that I'm taking pictures and he's getting attention he doesn't mind being shut in.
Tae a yr. ago when she figured out to climb in the dryer.

She too got herself stuck but not with the door, with the lint vent.
